About

An impregnable fortress built on a 200-meter high conical hill with intricate defense mechanisms. Originally built in 1187, the fort features dark defense passages, traps, and a water-filled moat. The famous Chand Minar stands 30 meters tall. The fort's defense system includes dark passages where oil lamps were extinguished, forcing intruders to navigate in darkness. Chini Mahal served as a prison. The fort showcases brilliant military engineering and strategic architecture. Also known as the "Fort of Fortune", it was the capital of Muhammad bin Tughlaq.
