Sinhagad Fort

Sinhagad Fort, meaning Lion Fort, is one of the most popular trekking destinations near Pune. This historic fort witnessed the famous Battle of Sinhagad where Tanaji Malusare laid down his life. The fort offers excellent trekking trails, historical monuments, and local food joints serving authentic Maharashtrian cuisine. The views from the top are spectacular, especially during monsoon.
